Ayush Havan is performed on Janma Nakshatra or any other date compatible with Janma Nakshatra Lord Ayurdevata who is considered as the physician of the Devas (Gods) and the father of Ayurveda is the chief deity of this havan.
During Havan, Gauri Ganesh Kalash Nava Graha puja is performed and Ayush Suktam mantras are recited by the priest and the Havan is performed.
